Jennifer E. Borra


Jennifer is a Shareholder and Partner of Starfield & Smith.  She focuses her practice on government guaranteed lending transactions and conventional commercial lending transactions. She has substantial experience counseling clients in connection with:

• SBA and conventional loan processing, documentation, closing, funding, and servicing
• SBA franchise eligibility analysis
• SBA rules and regulations
• SBA Guaranty purchase matters

As a closing attorney, Jennifer has closed and funded hundreds of loans for a wide range of financial institutions, including national banks, regional banks, community banks, credit unions, certified development companies, and non-bank lenders earning the trust of her clients and becoming a key partner of her client’s SBA team.

Jennifer has specialized training and expertise related to SBA franchise lending issues and affiliation determinations. Her practical approach to complex legal issues helps her clients meet their goals in a compliant and cost effective manner.

She has also assisted small business clients with a wide variety of corporate governance and transactional matters such as:

• Entity formation
• Purchase/sale of business
• Lease agreements
• Stock Purchase Agreements

Her clients value her knowledge, expertise and personal attention to each matter.
